What we do - Contracting
Bids go high in Dingwall for DMH expertise
  • Specialised steel work
  • Tailored engineering
  • Flagship project

DMH took the bull by the horns when they were appointed to supply and construct a range of steel work on the new £3 million Dingwall Auction Mart.

The livestock market is one of the biggest in the highlands and main contractor ROK had no hesitation in appointing DMH as their steel fabrication supplier.

This was very much a flagship project for the whole agricultural community in the north of Scotland, so it was important everything was delivered on time to the highest specification. Our past record of dealing with DMH told us they were the people who could deliver for us.

Roy MacLean, ROK project manager.

All in all DMH supplied and fitted the building's feature steel staircase, and built the railings for the sales ring and the animal pens.

Green credentials give DMH a winning design
  • Environmentally sensitive architecture
  • Bespoke design
  • Award winning projects

With DMH steelwork at its core, the new Forestry Commission regional office in Inverness picked up a Royal Institute of Surveyors award for sustainability.

The modern office, which is now one of the largest timber buildings in the UK, was designed by HRI Architects. From its foundations up the 630 sq metre, energy efficient office has been carefully designed and constructed using locally grown, certificated timber

Every component of the building's structure and fabric is green-book A rated, including the extensive steel work completed on both the building's structure and its finishings by DMH.

To construct an award winning building every aspect of the design and construction needs to be of the highest standard and DMH certainly played their part in making this project such a success.

Mark Williams, HRI Architects.

Further south DMH was a main contractor on one of Aviemore's newest retail and office developments. Now home to Treadwell Furniture, the company expertise was needed to erect steel work, extending the existing building and fit the steel cladding to finish off one of the town's largest new commercial buildings.
